Roof gardens
Roof gardens are always extreme gardens - extreme shortage of space combined with extreme climate and light conditions - often a confusing roof-scenery and above all the open sky. Because often they appear so unexpected in these surroundings, one is released from terrestrial conventions and can strike new paths, both concerning the choice of the used materials and plants and the whole creation.
In the future we should give even more attention to the planting of vegetation on our roofs and facades, because in many of our cities they are the only green spots in a whole sea of concrete, asphalt, glass and steel - and they offer good possibilities to improve the microclimate surrounding our flats as well.
